Vision Statement
"To Live By Faith, Be Known By Love,
Be A Voice Of Hope"
Welcome....
Lindfield Uniting Church has a rich heritage, spanning two sites and over one hundred years of history.
Lindfield Uniting Church is a merger of St David’s Uniting Church and Tryon Rd Uniting Church. The merger took place on 1st February 2014.
The church is located on Pacific Highway, consists of many different halls and spaces, two adjacent houses, and is a popular place for various community groups and organisations. More than one Christian congregation meets on site to conduct regular worship services. The people of LUC also have strong ecumenical connections with other churches in the area.
We warmly invite you to join us and become part of our community here! Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can help you in any way.
Who we are and what we believe.....
We are a friendly group of God's people gathering together as God's family, who come from a variety of traditions and backgrounds. As family we support one another, and encourage each other to use the gifts God has given us.
Our church is a place where God is present. We think the Bible has a lot to say about living as God's people in our modern world , so we listen carefully to what it has to say.
By learning and focussing on God's word we learn more of Jesus Christ and experience God's love for us. We also strive to reflect Jesus's love and compassion and live out that love among ourselves and by serving others in the wider community and the world.
Music features predominantly in our worship and we have an enthusiastic choir who enrich our services.
We welcome all people.
Jesus said " I have come in order that you may have life - life in all its fullness" John 10:10
Current Activities Statement....
Lindfield Uniting Church is a relatively small congregation with enormous enthusiasm. Regular Sunday morning worship (usually at 10.00am, with some cyclical changes - contact the church office for more information) includes modern sermons, scripture readings (usually according to the revised common lectionary), prayers by the people, hymns, and a small choir singing from a wide repertoire of items always relevant to the theme of the day.
Other LUC activities include regular Open House meetings, bible studies, a regular market raising funds for homeless families, an ‘ongoing writers’ group, hymn singing at a local care centre, and annual events which include Christmas in July, an interfaith service on UN International Day of Peace, Heralding Advent, and a special Good Friday service with appropriate music. Have a look under the 'News & Events" tab for more information.
